Sorrel leaves have a tangy taste, with hints of citrus. They may be harvested as a baby leaf and used in salads, but can also be harvested when mature and cooked like spinach.

Sow outdoors from Mar – Sep thinly in drills. Protect early sowings with a cloche in exposed areas ora  cold spring. Allow 30 cm between rows. Germinates in 14-21 days. (30-60 days to harvest). Keep moist during dry periods to avoid the young plants going to seed. Harvest young outer leaves progressively, a few from each plant as they mature. Best harvested young as leaves can get tough when mature
