British native biennial wildflower and the wild parent of cultivated carrots. A tall wildflower, growing up to 90cm, it has feathery foliage and showy, flat-topped umbels of white, off white or sometimes pink tinged flowers. Lovely in a cottage garden, wildflower patch or meadow and perfect at the back of borders. Loved by pollinating insects!

Sow thinly under cover or direct where it is to flower from autumn to early spring. The seeds need a period of exposure to cold to prompt germination, so are best sown before the weather warms up. Thin seedlings to 30cm apart.
